HAVE PEACE OF MIND FOR ONLY $29.99

As mentioned on other pages in this site, your state's living will form may not say enough to avoid your being kept alive artificially if you were in the same condition as Terri Schiavo. Remember, there were claims that Schiavo was not brain dead or in a persistent vegetative state, but that she was "minimally conscious". After that debacle, attorneys examined the living will forms of their states and began adding language to cover their clients concerns and "what ifs" as many expressed concerns that they would want to be allowed to die if in that condition, rather than be forced to live hooked up to tubes as their body wastes away, day by day, totally dependent on care.

If you would not wish to be kept alive artificially if you were in Terri Schiavo's condition, there is reason for concern even if you have a living will. The Schiavo matter put the spotlight on the gray areas that are present in the language of the living wills as previously written. The only changes to language since Schiavo have been to contract the meanings of the language regarding feeding tubes and artificial nutrition. Now in certain states with the state living will, if one has not added affirmative language specifically stating that he or she would not want to have artificial nutrition/hydration if in such a condition as Schiavo, it would be administered.

If you've become concerned about what could happen even if you have your state's living will form, and would not wish to be kept alive, you should consider the purchase of an embellished living will: This living will specifically sets forth that you would not wish to be kept alive if you were determined by two medical providers (based on their review of objective evidence) to be "minimally conscious" or suffering from "severe brain damage" as defined within the document.

This living will is available for only $59.99 through this site only. It also contains a statement on the document geared to grab the medical professionals' attention, so that the document is read in its entirety and not merely placed in a hospital file. That is important because this living will goes further in specifying your wishes than your state's form.

That said, no one would want to be left to die if there is objective evidence (brain scan for example)indicating that there is legitimate brain activity, cognitive capacity for understanding or a realistic chance of regaining functioning.

The embellished living will does not direct a taking of life, but is a firm statement that you do not wish your dying to be prolonged artificially if you would not be returned to meaningful cognitive capacity.

This living will also contains an appointment of health care representative and, of course, it contains a HIPAA Release and full directions for its execution so that it will be legal to use in any state.

Purchase and execute it now for peace of mind--while you are able. It is a gift of decision that you provide your family. You set forth your wishes so no one will substitute theirs for yours.

Upon payment you will be brought to a link for the immediate printing of the Embellished Living Will.

The Will is in PDF form but should download quickly, in about 15-30 seconds.
